North London Coaching Bursary Scheme
Interested In Gaining a Free Level 2 Qualification!!!!!!
The North London Coaching Bursary Scheme (NLCBS) will target 40 North London coaches providing them with the opportunity to undertake a level 2 coaching qualification with a financial bursary made available to those who successfully complete their course and deliver voluntary coaching hours.
More qualified coaches on the ground working in North London Clubs and Communities will support an increase in participation, contributing to the overall objective of one million more people participating in regular sport and physical activity. This scheme contributes to Sport Unlimited and the overall retention on 8151 young people (5-19s) in regular sport in North London.
Are you eligible?
• Applicants must be 18+, Level 1 qualified coach and Hold a 1st Aid Certificate
• Coaching activity in either a paid or voluntary capacity in a club or organisation
• Have a club or organisation that is willing to act as a referee for the applicant.
• Have a club or organisation able to receive the coaching bursary on behalf of the applicant (See Terms and Conditions on application Form)
• Applicants to select a course (from attached List or alternative course found by candidate) and pay the National Governing Body/Course Organiser for the Full cost of the Level 2 Course up front.
• Commit to attending and completing a level 2 coaching course by 31st December 2010
• Deliver 10 sessions of voluntary coaching out of school hours, once qualified as a level 2 coach, to a recommended 15 participants per session aged 5-19 years in the applicants identified North London club or organisation by 31st March 2011
• Applicants must have a valid CRB from their organisation where they are going to be deployed to deliver voluntary coaching once qualified as a level 2 coach. Where required, applicants will also need to registered with the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA)
Once we have received your application form it will go to a judging panel to decide whether you are successful. If successful you will be contacted with further information about the Induction evening and booking on to Level 2 Course
