A thrilling take on the events that led to the Olympics in Berlin in1936.
A play based on the events that led to the 1936 Berlin Olympics
The stakes were high, the game played out on the world stage.
In 1933 Hitler's position in Germany was precarious. Hosting the Games would provide valuable propaganda for the Nazis and strengthen his hold on power.
Hitler's treatment of Jewish athletes was clearly unacceptable. Should there be a boycott - would it destroy the Olympic movement, who would lose their positions, who would gain? It all rested on a few influential men...
The extraordinary power politics prior to The Second World War are played out by a nine actor cast, portraying the people whose decisions could have changed history. For more details click

Officials Training Programme
The Officials Training Programme has been launched because British Swimming has been tasked with identifying potential officials, for recommendation to FINA and the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) that would be interested in working at the 2012 Olympic Games as a National Technical Official.
The programme is about providing officials the opportunity to express their interest in officiating at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and therefore the opportunity for British Swimming to ensure that they have the correct experience to apply. The identified disciplines are Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Diving, it does not currently involve swimming.
British Swimming do not have any decision making status within this recruitment process but through a new British Swimming Officials Training Programme are offering support, guidance and training to any officials that have the required skill set for the positions available in order to support their application.
The closing date for applications is Monday 22nd March. You will hear if you are successful in gaining a place on this programme via email by Monday 5th April.
