London Disability swimmers on form at South East regional gala
 
Preparations for the National Junior Disability Championships looked on track as twelve London swimmers competed at the South East regional disability gala in Southampton last weekend. Jessica Harper (Chelsea & Kensington) was the most successful swimmer having been the fastest finisher in three out of her four events. She set new personal bests in two events, taking six seconds off her time in 50m breaststroke.
 
Sarah Paschoud of Sharks was the fastest finisher in 100m breaststroke, while in the boys events, fellow Sharks swimmer Alex Bailey finished first in 100m butterfly and second in the 50m event.
 
Amelia Johnstone of Saxon Crown SC and Tina Rushbrook of Sharks, who only joined the squad late last year, took nine and 10 seconds off their personal bests in their freestyle events. Leonie Flowerday (Sharks) and Azi Zahed (Kingston) also set new times.
 
In the boys events James Naidoo (Cheam Marcuda) finished third in 50m backstroke and fifth in the freestyle event. Adam Baker (Sharks) finished third in 100m breakstroke and Sharks teammate Callum Prout finished fourth in the backstroke event.
Oscar Livesey (Greenwich) and Thomas Urry (Cheam) both set new personal bests, with Oscar taking three seconds off his 100m freestyle time while Thomas took 6 seconds off his 100m IM time.
