“GLL’s mission is to provide safe and progressive Water Polo Pathway for all ages and abilities delivered by highly trained, inspirational and enthusiastic instructors.
We are looking to appoint an experienced coach to lead our young enthusiastic coaching team. You will be responsible for training the athletes in line with the British Water Polo’s Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework.
You will also be responsible of producing a detailed training and competition programme tailored to sit the needs of all Water Polo elements of the Crystal Palace Beacon Programme, which is an ASA backed initiative aimed at developing a strong, sustainable coaching programme in conjunction with the partner clubs.
The successful candidate will lead the development of Water Polo at Crystal Palace by engaging in outreach work into schools and other community groups, as part of creating a sustainable aquatic programme that provides players with a quality assured talent pathway.
Requirements;
- Hold a UKCC level 2 qualification [or working towards] or equivalent.
- Proven Management ability and understanding of budgeting of a sporting programme.
- Proven track record of developing and working with talented and elite athletes.
- Able to work under pressure.
· Demonstrate leadership qualities, providing a positive role model.
· Capable of delivering presentations to large groups of children and adults.
· Excellent communication skills.
