Licensing Club Championships (& Borough championships) in London at level 4
LICENSING CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS (AND BOROUGH CHAMPIONSHIPS) IN LONDON AT LEVEL 4
1. Club/Borough championships require a minimum of just one month’s notice to be given to the Licensing Officer.

2. The qualifying date can be 31 December in the year of the championships.

3. The application form which can be found at http://209.20.80.25/vsite/vfile/page/fileurl/0,,5157-1-1-121495-0-file,00.doc and should be sent to the Licensing Officer (preferably by E-mail) signed and dated (a typed signature will suffice).

4. The application must be accompanied by a programme of events together with the Conditions setting out eligibility.

5. All swimmers entering the championships must be registered members of the ASA; either Category 1  or 2.

6. The principal Referee for each gala must be registered with the ASA and have the minimum  qualification of Judge 2S.

7. The remaining Officials do not necessarily need to be qualified but must be members of the ASA. This will allow coaching and teaching staff to be Judges and Starter with parents, and swimmers not participating in that gala, to be Timekeepers. If parents are used it is emphasised that they must be ASA members.

8. As to the numbers of Officials there must be at least one Referee, a Starter, a Chief Timekeeper, six Judges (the Starter can be included as a finish Judge) and one Timekeeper for each lane.

9. Neither electronic timing nor anti-wave lane ropes are required.

10. Within five working days of each gala you must send the results to Rankings as indicated on the application form.

11. Within 14 days of the gala there must be sent to the Licensing Officer (E-mail preferably) a Promoter’s Report form http://209.20.80.25/vsite/vfile/page/fileurl/0,,5157-1-1-121497-0-file,00.doc  and a Referee Report form http://209.20.80.25/vsite/vfile/page/fileurl/0,,5157-1-1-121498-0-file,00.doc  together with a list of Officials and their appointments.

12. A cheque for £25 made out to London Swimming in respect of the license fee should          be sent to the Licensing Officer. Currently the Finance Officer will send the club a grant cheque for £25 although for how much longer this will be is not certain. The fee covers the whole of the calendar year. It is not payable if the club has already paid a levy during that year in respect of a Meet held as Levels 1, 2 or 3.
