Colin Brown (RD) is currently on annual leave.
This week Jo Calvino (Aquatic Development Programme Co-ordinator) has been ridden with bad luck this week after her computer has had to be sent back, so please bear with her as she has not got complete access to the internet & email. Jo has spent time this week looking at the Putney Diving programme and its structure, meeting with Putney bookings and Head of reception. Jo has also been to visit St Paul’s School and confirm facilities for the Annual Conference taking place on Sunday 13th September, all bookings will be done via the London Swimming bookings website. The Annual Conference is Jo’s main focus for the next few days making sure all is confirmed & in place.
Jo has also started to look at the marketing campaign for the master class programme.
This week Jo Melchior (Project Manager) has, alongside colleagues from London Swimming, been conducting preliminary interviews for the Teaching and Admin staff required to support the Mobile Pool programme. Jo has also been meeting with the sponsors of the project to discuss branding, marketing and media campaigns, and also meeting with Ealing Council representatives to discuss a strategy to engage the local residents of the Northolt area as well as the Schools. Next week Jo will be continuing to sort out her team by assessing the Teaching styles of the candidates who were successful in the first set of interviews and sorting out the contractual and financial elements of the project.
This week Jemma Konuralp (Swim21 Quality controller) went to another two of Ealing's houses and a very impressive teaching section at Killerwhales. She then attended the Regional Panel, and met with Sutton and Cheam about embarking on the assessment process. Next week Jemma is tied up mainly with administration prior to taking ten days annual leave
Bastien Wallace (Project Manager - Barking & Dagenham) spent part of last week and all of the weekend involved with the Barking & Dagenham Town Show. She worked with the apprentices to spread the word about free swimming, sign up more young people for cards and to promote the Primary Care Trust’s ‘Me’ Brand – which is all about young people making healthy choices specific to their lives. The rest of the week involved report writing and preparations for this week and the beginning of school summer holidays.
