South West – Cornwall (1 position)
Salary: £27,799 per annum
(plus bonus scheme and contributory pension)
Contract: Full Time – All Hours Worked
Location: Provisionally within County Sports Partnerships
The ASA is the National Governing Body for Swimming and its associated disciplines in England with its headquarters situated in the centre of Loughborough.
Applications are invited for the exciting new posts of County Swimming Co-ordinators, which are required to promote the Government’s Free Swimming initiative and to ensure a lasting sporting legacy from the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
The role will involve helping create successful partnerships, in particular with local authorities, to secure the desired culture change required in and around the swimming experience, with the aim of encouraging more people to swim and more frequently. Bonuses will be awarded for the achievement of set KPIs, standards and sales targets.
Successful candidates must have the ability to ‘champion’ swimming and have a clear understanding of the impact this project can have on the community and on health and sporting agendas. Excellent communication skills through various mediums and at all levels are essential. The successful candidates must also have proven experience of sales, with a track record of delivering/exceeding targets and of adhering to performance/quality systems. Excellent project and time management skills with an ability to work effectively as a team and on your own initiative are also required. Knowledge of UKCC and the ASA products including the awards and Swim 21 would be advantageous.
