Colin Brown (RD) has had an extremely exciting week with a number of projects taking large steps forward. Colin also spent an excellent half day in Sutton meeting with the local authority and was taken on an tour of their facilities to get a real feel for its potential. The end of week saw a packed London Swimming Team meeting which said goodbye to Suzanne Philpot (ASA School Swimming Improvement for London & South East) who has done a first class job over the last two years in firstly co-ordinating the Schools ‘Top Up Programme’ and more recently widening this out to wider school swimming improvements. However, we will actually see more of Suzanne in her new role as Aquatics Manager for Greenwich where she bring her wide range of skills to an exciting new venture. We also said hello to Sarah Tamone who replaces Suzanne. Sarah has moved from covering the East of England as School Improvement Officer to covering London and the South East. Sarah comes in with a formidable reputation and will no doubt take off where Suzanne left off with schools in London!
Next week: Colin has meetings lined up with Camden, Barking & Dagenham and Tower Hamlets Councils.

This week Jo Calvino (Aquatic Development Programme Co-ordinator) has been preparing for this weekend’s Super CPD weekend in Barking & Dagenham, whilst catching up with emails & correspondence whilst being off competing at the bank holiday weekend.
Final confirmations on the disability camera master camp taking place on June 27th are being tied up with bookings available from May 28th, spaces will be limited on this video session and the opportunity to work with London Disability coach, Michelle Weltman.
Spaces are still available for the Jane Asher Breaststroke master class on June 28th.
Details will be available shortly on the re-scheduled ‘how to teach/coach disabled performers’ and the Jo Jackson 5 day summer master class camp which will include video work. Keep checking the website for updates.

This week has seen Jo Melchior (Project Manager) starting to collate the results from the highly enjoyable and successful mobile pool programme in Brent. Jo has also being spending time with Colin and Ben planning the logistics and costings of the Mayoral Pools programme due to start in September. Jo will be meeting with potential host sites in the next few weeks.

This week Jemma Konuralp (Swim21 Quality controller) visited Waltham Forest Diving Club to help them with their revalidation.  Next week she will be visiting Ealing SC in preparation of their re-accreditation where they hope to accredit at swimming at all four levels plus masters!  She will also be finalising the administration for the very successful last week where the following clubs were accredited/re-accredited:
Croydon Amphibians: swimming, teaching and skill development, waterpolo, teaching and skill development and masters
Wandsworth:  swimming, teaching and skill development
Bethnal Green Sharks:  swimming, teaching and skill development and masters
Greenwich Borough Mariners:  swimming, teaching and skill development
Dagenham:  swimming, teaching and masters

Many congratulations to all of the above clubs, and keep up the good work.
