London Diver wins British Elite Junior National 3m Championships
London Diver Jessica Williams of Crystal Palace Diving Club wins British Elite Junior National 3 metre Championships in Sheffield.
The Championships also doubled as the Junior European trials where she won by a comfortable 20 points.
Second was International Leeds diver Hannah Starling and third British international Megan Sylvester from Sheffield.
Jessica was the only diver to reach the international qualifying points in the 3 metre event. The points were set to reflect medal potential at this Junior European Championships.
Jessica was last years ASA London Region diver of the year and is part of an experimental team receiving specialist coaching from Cheng Yang an Olympic coach from China.
Crystal Palace Team Director Chris Snode said “Jessica picks up her 16th National title and the win is made more remarkable in that Jessica and her team mates have been without their pool at Crystal Palace for nearly two years.
With the Crystal Palace Diving pool now reopened with refurbished platforms and springboards, Jessica and the Team can fully concentrate on their training.
Junior Europeans take place in Budapest, Hungry 1-5th July
