Following her excellent performances at the British Gas National Swimming Championships two weeks ago, Harrow & Wealdstone’s Carmella Kitching has been selected to swim for Great Britain at the European Junior Swimming Championships.  Having only just turned 15 years of age, Carmella is amongst the youngest members of the GB team and will swim in Prague, Czech Republic in July.  Her long-course time of 1.12.63 which was achieved at the British Championships has been confirmed as a Middlesex County and London Region record.
