London Volunteer wins National Award
London Volunteer wins National Award

The outstanding contribution volunteers make to swimming have been celebrated at the National Aquaforce Volunteer Awards Lunch, on Sunday 19th October.
There were 133 nominations nationally and 28 Regional Aquaforce Award winners. The judging panel, made up of members of the asa Volunteer Forum and asa Youth Forum, said they found it incredibly hard to select just five national winners.

The Outstanding Contribution by an 18 to 25 Year Old Award went to Anastacia Long. Anastacia is from Merton School of Diving and Trampolining., in London. As well as being an excellent mentor for the teenagers in the club, she is an exceptional person to be able to cope with the demands and responsibility of running a club at such a young age, in addition to working full time. Anastacia (Stacia) is also the Regional Diving Manager for the London Region.

The Awards were an opportunity for the asa, County Associations, clubs and individuals to say thank you to the exceptional people that help to deliver our sport so successfully.
