The ASA SER is promoting the Course " An Introduction to Officiating at Events which Include Swimmers with a Disability" on 18 May at Radley College, Abingdon.
This is an introduction to officiating at events that include swimmers with a disability, such as ASA Regions and ASA Counties. It also includes an overview of Classification and functional ability cards along with an opportunity to gain knowledge of IPC swimming rules.
The Course will start at 9.30 and can expect to complete at 4.30. It is being run in conjunction with the SER Disability Squad Training Camp - and therefore there will be an opportunity to see some of the Region's "best" in action in the water.
The Course is in a Presentation style, together with video footage from major disability events over the past 2 years.
The Course is intended principally for practicing Officials and attendance at the Course can be used towards IoS re-Registration, valued at 5 CPD points - therefore you should bring your Log for signing.
The Course Tutor will be Dave Harman.
Cost of the Course is only £5.00 - simply to cover lunch!!
