London Swimming wins partner of the year at the inaugural Pro-Active Awards.

London Swimming was the only governing body recognised by the Pro-Active partnerships and picked up its award for its particular innovative work in the West partnership. This includes the highly successful Aqua Extreme programme which introduces young people to the exciting range of aquatic disciplines.

Colin Brown (Director London Swimming) accepted the award on behalf of the management board and the staff. "It is always important to celebrate success at any level whether that be gaining a swimming award, recognising a volunteer or in this case being recognised as a leading player across London. Having our recently published strategy endorsed by the GLA and Sport England has given us such a boost and this justs add to the recognition that we are heading in the right direction".
