London Swimming Board decision on the Beacon Programme

To reject the bids on the grounds that they would not be able to develop the Beacon Programme to the level required at this point in time.

As the holder of public funds London Swimming needs to ensure that it makes investment decisions that are in the best long term interest of swimming in London.

Subject to the agreement of Sport England, London Swimming will be seeking to redistribute the funding to develop 'talent pathways in strategic areas' and hope that this foundation work will pave the way for future Beacon Bids'. If this proposal is approved further details and timelines will be published at some point in the future.
